In the last 12 months, Britplas has reached the culmination of a strategic five year plan which has seen the business more than double its turnover whilst maintaining impressive profitability, from £14.3m in 2015 to £31.7m in 2019.
Our plan involved the diversification of the Britplas offer beyond specialist windows for mental health facilities and into the general commercial façades market.
This diversification involved sweeping changes to all parts of the business and major investment in people, systems and infrastructure in order to support our plans.
2020 will see the completion of Britplas’ largest ever contract, an £8m glazing package at Laing O’Rourke’s Edinburgh St James project, and we are proud of the reputation and repeat business which we are winning in this sector.
Our mental health work continues to go from strength to strength, and we work with over 80% of NHS Trusts on both new build and refurbishment projects across the UK. We continue to improve on our proprietary window range, with recent innovations including a new handle and locking system created by our in-house R&D team.
With our own fabrication facility, we’re excited to be flying the flag for UK construction and manufacturing and working towards our vision of being a first choice provider for the design, manufacture and installation of innovative façades and specialist glazing products.
