When it comes to categories that represent the industry, this one is perhaps the very biggest. The PVC Company category encapsulates the biggest market when it comes to residential work.
For a long time PVC has been very much top of the pile in the residential part of our market. Arriving in the 70’s and dominating from there, it changed, and continues to change the dynamic and landscape of the window and door industry.
In recent years, the PVC sector has undergone rapid diversification, with the resurrection in popularity of vertical sliding sash windows, timber alternative PVC products and a very wide range of standard coloured and wood grain finishes. PVC certainly isn’t just White windows and doors any more. Evolution in home owner demand and tastes mean PVC has to continue to progress to remain relevant and stave off surges from the aluminium and timber sectors.
So although PVC faces challenges on it’s path forward, it remains one of the single most vital sectors of UK fenestration. Which is why we recognise the importance of this area of our industry with it’s own award category.
This category is open to systems companies, fabricators and installers who deal primarily or solely in PVC. We are simply looking for the very best company within the PVC part of our industry.
